Sick Fish

Well, Ive got my first sick fish. Just arrived from a marine vendor. I got 2 foxface lo's both were looking very dead when I put the bags to float in the tank. One of them is doing ok (not excellent but ok) except now I cant catch my hawkfish who somehow wants to eat the foxface and the other foxface well he is just laying there, he is breathing but not moveing at all. Ive been repeating the acclimation on him since I got them but he doesnt seem like he is going to make it. Any advise would be helpful, thanks.

It died

Todd

Try to get the remaining one to eat. Garlic additives, or frozen Formula Two with garlic, is often used. You may also try some live foods (brine shrimp) just to get some calories into him. Garlic has some anecdotal evidence of boosting the immune system, which you'll probably want because foxfaces usually carry ich, and develop a case of it when severely stressed (like it is now).

I would strongly urge you to quarantine your fish from now on.
