Hi everyone
I have a fo 55 gal with 1 5" lunare wrasse, yellow tang and a purple basslet. My 2nd flame angel has just died due to not eating for about a month. The wrasse was somewhat aggressive to the angel. I tried rearranging tank..it did not help. I also added 3 damsels at the same time I added the angel and the wrasse munched real good for 2 days. (stupid addition..i know ah duh) I was trying to get a more active "look" to the tank. Now I am bored again looking at the same ole fish. Please tell me some possiblities and in what order to add them. I was think along the lines of a trigger or some smaller fish that could hold their own against the wrasse. I actually really like the wrasse so trading him is not an option at this time. Thanks in advance for suggestions....Jane |

Well your bad luck with flame angels may be due to the fact that they really should be added to long established tanks. Flames really don't tolerate nitrates or stray current in the tank well.
With a 5 inch wrasse I think it would be difficult to add fish that would be suitable for a 55 since they would be small and probably lunch for the wrasse. If you are looking for action in the tank, I would remove that wrasse and replace with like a six line or something. They stay small and are always on the go. Then you can add all sorts of other fish and not have to worry too much about how agressive the wrasse you are keeping is. HTH, JP ------------------ http://fyrman.homestead.com/welcome.html |

I agree, even thoug you like the wrasse, you'll have to trade him if you really want anything else to do well.
