Dark maroon algae on live rock
I have this dark maroon algae on all my live rock. The tank is only 3 weeks old. Any suggestions if this is ok or is their something that iI should do.

If you can siphon most of it off, then it is cyanobacteria... there are some maroon coralline algae strains. They can't be siphoned off the rock and are just fine to have in the tank.

If its cyanobacteria does it need to be removed?

Try to siphon as much as you can off when you do water changes.
Do you have anything in the tank other than live rock?
