worms
hello everyone I was wondering if anyone can tell me what I have in my tank. I have hundreds of tiny white worms on the glass and the live rock. I am not sure what it is but would like to find out if anyone knows.
I have a 75 gallon set-up (saltwater) |

Hi jckjohn,
![]() Is there anyway you can take a photograph of this worms and post here? Without seen what it is exactly you describing it would be very hard telling or attempting to identify this worms. Some general information about various worms that find their way into aquariums could be found in this article: http://reefkeeping.com/issues/2003-03/rs/index.htm If you could provide some images or perhaps describe them a little better than "tiny white worms" maybe we can identify them for you. All in all, I wouldn't overly worry about them. Oh, almost forgot, do they appear segmented, move rapidly, or any other distinctive characteristics that you may add?

thank you
as you might have guessed I am new to this site so your right I should have included a pic or a more detailed explaination. The pic I should have within a couple of days.
Until then I can tell you they look like baby feather dusters, they are coiled on the rock and glass into a little ball. when I look at them closely they have "fingers" at one end which look like feather dusters but I have never seen that many before it seems like I had 50 at one time now I can't tell if the population is growing or decreasing. They seem to be about a quarter of an inch long. It seems like they move very slow or not at all and have a very hard shell like a crab. I found this out when I was cleaning my glass in my aquarium (75 gal) marine, fish only, and 65 - 70 lbs of live rock and live sand. but I will definately see about getting you a pic I have to wait for a digital camera might be a couple of days though but I will get you a pic.
