Finally added live rock
Well I finally did it. Yesterday I made the three hour drive to premium aquatics and got my live rock. I got 52 pounds total mostly fiji. Realy suprised with the shapes their fiji had. Lots of branchy type. Lots of plants on it not a whole lot of color but not bad. Last night my wife turned on the lights in the tank when the room was dark and wanted to know why there were a ton of little bugs everywere. Thats good right? So here is the setup so far, 46 gallon bowfront 52lbs live rock 60lbs live sand Bak Pak2 skimmer and inadaquete lights.

The little "bugs" are probably copepods which are not bad for your tank.
They are commonly imported into aquariums through live rock. My 6line Wrasse and Firefish feed on these and control the population. |
