About LinkBacksi am treating my powder brown tang with chemical treatment that's called RID- ICH + . it contains the following ingredients : formaldehyde 4.26%(11.52% formalin) & zinc -free chloride salt of malachite green.
my problem is i have been treating him for about 12 hours. he doesn't seem to eat.
he has gained some brown spots on his side. is this normal. is it because of the treatment.

I believe Rid-Ich+ is for freshwater fish. The only proven treatment for marine ich are copper, hyposalinity, and tank transfer.

the container says freshwater or saltwater

i have been treating the tank for ich. now he is to the point where is at the top all the time and sometimes wants to jump out of tank. what should i do next

It means there's not enough circulation/aeration in your quarantine tank, or the ich has infected his gills... or both

Hmmm... now that the tank is full, I could convert the pool to saltwater...
