Emperor/queen angel info
I really like the looks of these 2 fish, so I want a couple of first hand experiences. What do these fish eat in your tank. Is it easier to get them as a juvineil, how big of a tank do you have. Will you move it to a bigger one. Do you like the fish. What tank mates do you have? I have also been to www.fishbase.org already, but I'm not satisfied with their info. thanks

I have a juvenile Emperor Angel in my 150g FO system.
I picked it up about 8 months ago from ffexpress.com. It had the classic blue/white pattern when I got it and now it is starting to slowly change into its adult colors. It has lived through a yellow boxfish death, upon which it released it's toxin, killing everything in the tank except the angel and my picasso trigger. I feed it prime reef, brine plus and romaine. Healthy, hardy, a little territorial, and a great all around fish. |

I have to second ScottC. I've had my emperor now for 15 months. Also got him as a Juvie, hasn't changed yet, but it appears the colors are slowly fading? Eats everything - Live brine, all frozen, all flake, seaweed selects...etc. I have always added Selcon to all food except the live brine. He has never been sick. Very hearty.

I had an emperor angel for a 6 months but it was killed in a problem I had with some pest control treatment. The fish was beautiful. Did not eat in the first 2 weeks but once it started it would eat everything. Swam around without any fear, did not bother the other fish.
I got a second one last month. Watched it in the LFS for a month. Was doing well, eating etc. Brought it home and it died in 24 hours for no apparent reason? Beautiful fish, but I have had trouble with them. Karun |

TommyBoy, the only thing with Queens is that when they get bigger they are mean and will chase the other fish. If you add a shark, they will even peck out the eyes.
