???? about Aquac Remora and Fluval 404 canister filter

The Remora with the prefilter I can not put the filter sock on the motor while it's in the prefilter will it affect the operation of this skimmer??? My Fluval canister is blowing out micro bubbles like a skimmer. How can I stop this it just started about a day ago. My tank has been up and running for two months now. I have an awsome Loinfish, two Yellowtail Damsels, and a Yellow Tang. Have a Flame Angel coming tomorrow. Their all in a 75 gallon aquarium is this appropiate

The pumps that operates your protein skimmer should not use a filter sock.

Have you cleaned the Fluval recently? The gasket might not be seated properly or the quick disconnect valve not attached fully. Either could cause the filter to draw in air and produce small bubbles.

The lionfish will outgrow a 75 in a relatively short amount of time. In the next year or so, I would find it a new home. It could also very easily eat those damsels and the flame angel when it gets big enough.
