thanks ninong.thats not my fish.hy tang is banana yellow with blue fins fringed in yellow and then blue outlines.he has blue above and below his eyes black blue and orange around his gills and two white specks by his mouth.i bet a picture would be alot better huh .the closest picture ive found to what he looks like is a yellow and blue tang(common name)but iot was a bad picture and it wasnt quite right.the fish was sold to me as a blonde naso but im starting to question the identification(or was i ripped off?)im kinda new to salt fish a year but i dont think i have ever seen another tang like mine(its probably something really common )ill try to snap a photo later tonight and post it

by the way got a pic of a yellow and blue tang?thanks again ninong

Check out www.wetwebmedia.com and www.fishbase.org . You should be able to find lots of different tang pics at either site . HTH.

This is another color variation of Naso literatus:

The color of that one would probably be considered "olivaceous" by fishbase. Anyway, the color varies a lot but only the blonde looking ones should go by the common name Blonde Naso Tang, which is not a separate species--they're all Naso literatus--just a lighter color.

Ninong

P.S. - How large is your tang? Are you sure it's in it's final adult coloration? In case it actually is a Naso Tang, I hope you have a large tank.

organicreefer, here are some pics of my Red Sea Blonde Naso Tang, http://www.geocities.com/stylatin/tang.htm, I think what everyone else is showing you is the Hawaiian Naso Tang which has a black Dorsal Fin, whereas the Red Sea Naso has the yellow or Blonde Fin...As far as the yellow body with blue fins, i'm not sure , but i know the Powder Blue tang has a Powder Blue Body with yellow fins, also another of my fish...hth
