Help IDing new Hitchikers with LR
After allowing my new 60 gallon tank to cycle a month with four green chromis and, a bed of new substrate and about 2-3 cups of live sand from the LFS I just added 20lbs of Bali Live Rock.
Now, almost a week later I still see a number amphipods roaming the glass, but today I noticed somthing interesting that I cannot ID (I am really inexperienced). It started as a small hanger-on up by my power head on the glass, and then about a half-hour later it became two even smaller hangers-on. It looks like they have little tentacles like a worm or some other sort of invert, but it doesn't look crustacian. Can anyone advise? ![]() If it needs some special care I would love to learn how to help it. Also, I have a Mega-flow sump and have been trying to find media for the mechanical filtration. I would appreciate any suggestions for floss brands/types to use with this sump. Thank you all |

They're hydroid jellyfish. They will come and go over time and eventually fade away altogether.
