Filter And Live Rock ???

I have just purchased some live rock or my 75 gallon. It is not fully cured yet its been curing for about 2 1/2 weeks. Before I put it in my tank what should I do about my filters? Do I remove them (emperor 400 & fluval 404) or keep one in operation or both? I've been reading that I don't need as much because the rock would act as my biological filter. Any help will be appreciated.
Thanks for the help

How much live rock did you buy ? First off do you have a skimmer ? If not you'll need one. The skimmer is going to do most of the work for you. Second, if you are going to use the emperor or fluval, remove all the bio material, and only use it as a mech filter. Here's the important part. Keep it clean; very clean. Don't slack on cleaning the mech filters as they will cause problems fast. Please take this info as just my two cents, these are the things that I have been tought. From what I seen, some people don't even run a mech filter, only skimmer, and bio filter (live rock, deep sand bed). I personally am running a skimmer, mech filter, DSB, and 200+lbs of live rock. Seems to be doing really well. Hey what part of Maryland are you from, I'm near B-more.

Westmonster, Very Cool, Where are you buying your live rock ? If you get a chance, best place in Maryland is Dr. Mac's near Salsbury. VERY NICE rock, and a good price. Are you doing a DSB ? Anyways' good luck, and I would say you need at least another 45 lbs at a min.
