How do I get a Goby to prepared foods?

You dont!
99% of Mandarin dragonets will not eat prepeard foods.
Best bet is to return him.

They require a tank of 75 gallons or better filled with live rock that is mature. The rock houses pods and other live food they eat.... If your tank does not meet these requirements then it is better to return it to the shop or give it to a friend with a mature reef tank....

The goby is doing fine, I just wanted to see if it were possible to feed it prepared foods. I have about 200 pounds of LR in my 175, with different types of macro, so my population of critters was great but my little buddy has put a dent in them. Thanks almostdiva.

If you just need to beef up your 'pod population, then I would DEFINITELY buy the pods from Inland Aquatics. They are great! You can put half in for the mandarin, and start your own culture with the rest!
