Blast. Messed me post up there!

OK - that looks neat and it's a hell of an improvement over tapwater or wellwater, but the blurb I read claimed that poly pads clean nitrate, nitrite and ammonia! This one does not make that claim and I doubt that they could either.

Can3 (the poly pad one) is NSF Certified to trap Giardia & Cryptosporidium. In addition this filter will adsorb VOC's, Pesticides, and provide lower lead, mercury & cadmium due to the addition, into the carbon cartridge, of a highly selective charged ceramic.

The whole gizmo does:

Lead, Mercury, Cadmium, Copper , Iron, Zinc, Volatile Organic Chemicals (VOC), tannins, Proteins, Dissolved Organics, Chlorine, Pesticides/Insecticides, Metal Particulates, Algae, Fungus, Giardia, Cryptospordium, and E. coli Bacteria.

Which is nice... (and you have to be a fan of the Britcom "The Fast Show" to get that gag).
