I like to get a pair of breeding fish but I'm not finding info on these speices....Royal grammas,Black cap basslets,Eyelash Blennies,Neon Gobies, and Yellow watchman Gobies.Does anyone have these and how do I tell the sexes and breeding info? How do they get along with clownfish?I am leaning towards the Blennies or the Gobies, but I can't find any info on them.Anyone?

The biggest site to start with is the breeder's registry. Do a search of their database. See http://www.breeders-registry.gen.ca.us
Alot of the accounts are old but a good starting point. As a general rule of thumb the longer the fry stay in the larval stage the harder to raise. Fish that spawn on substrate are better choices than egg scatters.

May want to try a mated pair of Banggai cardinals. They are quite easy to breed...all you really have to do is feed them.

All those fish will get along great with the clowns, but the clowns (if territorial) may put stress on the others and they won't spawn (assuming you have a pair).
As for sexing, and rearing, breeder registry may have some tips...but from what I have seen, info in this area is lacking. The only well documented fish are the Clowns, Psuedochromis (specifically the Orchids) and Cardinals. -Perry |
