Some small particles in the tank are good (i/e live food, etc)

What are the particles? I am assuming your water is clear and in the proper params.

icemark - as i don't have fish in the tank yet just inverts - snails, crabs, abalones, and a cuke, there is not "food" yet.

It just seems like there is alot of "junk" floating around in the water - I would rather have a clear water.

All my params were in check when i checked them 2 weeks ago. The floaties have been going on for about 3 weeks now but it hasn't gotten better...

any other ideas?

Are you sure your "floaties" aren't micro bubbles?

Just a thought,

I'm almost postive but let me double check. It seems to be just small pieces of debris floating around.....

If you have really high current, it could be sand particles, check your power heads to see if they are scouring (sp?) the sand bed and picking up particles. Outside of microbubbles, that's my only thought. HTH

good point on the powerheads - I'm going to check to see if they are aimed or sitting to low...

thanks again!
