My 30 gallon tank is looking for a new inhabitant or two. Its been over two months since coral beauty kicked it, and a new fish would be nice. Any suggestions?
Currently in the tank are: 1 yellowtail damsel, 1 fire goby, 1 cleaner shrimp. Also contains a couple of stony polyps, a bubble coral, a mushroom coral, and a xenia. Thanks ![]() |

I would put something in that will be able to hold its own with the damsel. What ever that might be. A clown maybe?

An established damsel is hard for any fish to contend with. The predatory and aggressive type fishes that do well with such a fish are, for the most part, not suitable for that size aquarium.
Unless you're particularly attached to the damsel, it may be worth considering removing it, then you'll have a lot more fish to choose from to add.
