My guess would be that, if they are young and added to a large enough aquarium at the same time, they will probably respect each other's territory if they are not stressed:
Stress (and the Single Marine Fish)

An aquarium too small or one having been established before the other is added, and sometimes just plain 'older' fishes, will likely create disputes.

    Young? Less than 3/4 inch
Tank size? 75 gallon or more

Don't forget they are omnivores and need the proper diet:

I wonder if your lionfish might eat them before they get around to the fighting part? It's a possibility.

Yes, if you introduce an Ocellaris clownfish into your 35-gal tank with its resident Percula clownfish, they will go through a period of aggressive behavior to establish dominance. That's how they determine which one gets to be the boss (female). Clownfish are protandrous hermaphrodites (males first). That means all females are derived from males.

If both of your fish are juveniles, the more aggressive one will eventually become the female and the other one will become the male. It is even possible that they could pair up and breed. Amphiprion percula and A. ocellaris will often pair up in captivity when an appropriate conspecific is not available. The hybrid offspring (called Percularis) will be fertile. They will enherit traits of both species.

Several species of clownfish interbreed and produce hybrids in the wild. These two species do not only because their natural ranges do not overlap.

So then just skip the Quarantine phase? i have a 10g Quarantine tank and a 75g show

Also do you have to buy an Ocellaris pair or can you match them as you go?
I have a friend that is giving me his (1)Ocellaris and i am interested in getting another one to breed them. i'd love to hear any suggestions or advice!

    How's the lionfish?
    Carl

Just tell your wife that having a tank teaches you all sorts of new DIY skills...which will save lots of money around the house...so you can buy more stuff for your tank...so you can learn more skills...

oh he is long gone now, not dead just traded in!
And since then i have had a few different fish and had to change a few times to find fish that got along.

started with the lion then got a clown then traded the lion for a sixline wrass got a royal gramma he got white spot, put them all in qt for 8 weeks. royal gramma died in qt, got a firefish and a lyretail anthais.
my firefish was sh!t scared of my lyetail anthais, and my sixline wrass was constantly bullying my clown so i got rid of my lyetail anthais and firefish for b/w clown and put my sixline in his own 10gal then got a coral beauty for the 30gal and everyones happy!!!!!!
so now i just have 2 clowns and a coral beauty in my 30gal and a sixline in a 10gal but soon they will all be in my nearly finnished 60 gal system (just wating for my sand!)

wwwhhhheeeewwww got there in the end!!!

    cheers james
