questions about puffers
I was just wondering what kind of temperment the puffer fish are. Will they eat snails or hermit crabs?
I have a 55 gal with a DSB about 55lbs of live rock and 3 fish(3stripe damsel, yellowtail damsel, and a tomato clown). I also have 2 brittle/serpent stars, some snails and a couple hermits. Everytime I go to the LFS I always stop to see the different puffers. I appreciate any light you guys can shed on the subject. Thanks, Pete- |

Yes, puffers will make short work of snails or crabs. The smaller sharpnose puffers may be less agressive with fish tankmates, but definitely risky with inverts.

Thanks for the quick reply, I guess I'll just have to control the urge to buy one when I go to the fish store.
