I read somewhere recently that the pacific blue legs may be much more aggressive than the carribbean variety. Mine seem completely harmless. Zookeeper, where did yours come from?

mwuahaha its here... Another kudos to Flying Fish.
So far everything has lived. The snails are eating like mad, the crabs are eating like mad. hell, even the dog is eating. (picks her food up and brings it into the living room - drops it by the tank and then eats..that messed up or what?) ------------------ Local Fish Store = Aquarists Toy Store... |

I've purchased a deal simular to that for my tank and what I learned is that how ever much money you saved or the good deal it is,nature will take its coarse and the tank will get nice and clean then the crew will feed on each other till it evens out to what your tank can substain. I only recommend getting what you think you can get by with Good Luck!

ya but their packages all come with blue legged crabs
. Yes my order with FFExpress was a little more $$ but I feel that for the service, the quality of the goods delivered and of course the 5 day guarantee - you can't beat what FFE has to offer....but thats just my opinion......

I've yet to try FFE, but SWF will let you substitute out those blue-legs for something else. Besides free shiping, they offer 2 free brittle stars, or 20 free blue-legs with every order. Just a thought. It worked great for me. What would you recommend from FFE?

browntrout -
I got the clean up crew for 75 gallon then added 3 abalones. 3 mirithrax crabs and 1 tiger stripped cucumber. ALL of them made mincemeat of my hair algae - you would not believe how clean the tank is now! ![]() I also heard that the snails that saltwaterfish sells are astreas - they can't up themselves if the end on their "back"... but thats JMO....

Look at www.reeftopia.com they have some incredible packages and free shipping with most orders.i would stay away from the green emerald crabs...they tend to become aggresive.I've never had a problem with the blue leg hermits...but I do overfeed the tank to keep them away from my polpys, mushrooms and corals.Good Luck!
