Angry Bitten by the plague

My yellow tang, lemonpeel angle and coral beauty angel all went down this week. They had been qt'd for a week and were being treated aggressively with garlic (kyolic) and the stuff that turns the water blue. It looks to be ich, or some other external parasite. Whatever it was, it wasn't pretty. My main tank looks great, though. BTW, the pulsing xenia is doing awesome!!! My wife is trying to get me to add more corals than fish. A lighting upgrade is now on the front burner. Just thought I'd share my sorrow with you all. The show must go on.

Sorry to hear that. Probably best to keep fish out of the tank for a couple months now so as not to give the parasites another fresh host. The corals are just as fascinating as the fish. Good luck.

A water change couldn't hurt, but It would be better for the corals in your tank to make several smaller changes than one great big one. Patience is the key here, to avoid more tragedy. When you do begin to replace your fish, take it nice and slow, and all should be fine.

Good Luck

Thanks for the info. Small changes it is. Yeah, patience sucks, but it's worth the wait.
