With a tank that size you are somewhat limited to what you can have. I have a 29 gal. All that's in it now is a yellow tail damsel, a peppermint shrimp and some turbo snails. Over time I will add in this order and definitely not at the same time, 1 clown (probably a false percula), 2 or 3 neon gobies, 1 royal gramma, and my show fish will probably be a Flame Angel. This could over load my bioload but I'll just have to take it very slowly. I had to do a lot of research to determine what would work in a tank my size. Tangs, regular Angels, and Triggers will all be too big for a 30 gal as they need a lot of space to swim.

That's too many! whoa!
I think that is too many. I made the mistake too, bought two butterflies that require atleast 75 gallon tanks in a measly 37 tall. I would stick with 2 3 in fish as show fish, and that's about it or 4 damsels. Also saltwater has less oxygen, less water
AND EVEN THAT IS PUSHING IT.... ![]() |

You can't determine your fishload based on how many total inches in length they are. You have to figure size and natural swimming habits. In this case, the tang is in a tank way too small. I recommend nothing smaller than a 75 for one tang.
