Exclamation New set up, old murky water!

I found a great deal on a 37 gallon set up, so I decided I would dump the seemingly clear established aquarium water from my 29 gallon ro avoid any dramatic changes in the flora of the water, but now with the shake up and turbulence my new aquarium is murky- I can barely see the fish in there! I have a skimmer and hang on back filter. Should I gut the entire thing or will it clear up on its own? What else can I do?

it's just cycling.

Any time you deplete the population of nitrogen processing bacteria you cause a nitrogen spike. The various detrivoures that comprise the biological filtration in our tanks colonize surface areas within any given setup. This is why trickle filters have media that increases surface area in them. Since the water carrying the bacteria was just barely introduced to the new setup, the tank, as a whole, will have to be cycled again. anyway... probably not what ya wanted to hear. hope it goes well for ya. perhaps others have additional, or more helpful information.
