How did you determine you had it?
my son saw it come out from the rock to grab a small banded shrimp (he is facinated by the tank) and has been watching it for an hour or 2 each day and it doesnt have any fish yet evenhe proceeded to ask me what the big cochroach looking thing was..after showing him a few pics of the mantis shrimp on the net he confirmed my suspicions
Good catch! Did you give him a ride down the porcelin bowl?
No my son wants to keep it..he has it a bowl just sitting on the shelf next to the tank...LOL......
It's too bad you're in Australia... I've been trying to get one of them for the longest time for my 10-gallon acrylic! Have fun with 'em!

Just tell your wife that having a tank teaches you all sorts of new DIY skills...which will save lots of money around the house...so you can buy more stuff for your tank...so you can learn more skills...
An excellent food for triggers!![]()

just so ya know, those guys have been known to crack glass. Don't reach your hand in there! LOL. they are very intelligent, some say they have ritual fightings, don't you dare flush him! Give or sell him to someone who can care for him if you decide he's not for you. PS, if you keep him, perhaps a small acrylic tank would be a good idea.
