advice!!
hi out there!
AT THE MOMENT I HAVE A 40 GALLON TANK,. AND I HAVE 6 FISHES! I HAVE ONESTARFISH, TWO DAMSELS, ONE BLUE ONE YELLOW AND GREY. I ALSO HAVE ONE BIOCOLOR ABGELFISH, ONE MANDARINE GOBBY, AND TWO PECULAS MNEMOS, I WANT TO ADD MORE FISHES TO MY TANK BUT DONT KNOW WHICH ONES! I LIKE A LOT OF THEM, BUT DONT WANT TO MAKE A WRONG DECISION ON GETTING FISHES THAT REALLY DONT FIT MY TANK! SO WHAT DO U GUYS RECOMMEND???? HELP!!!    |

Your aquarium is overstocked now. I would recommend taking some of the fishes out.

I agree. A 40 gallon tank is small in the marine fish world, and you already have a lot in there.

Their natural diet consists of copepods and other tiny benthic crustaceans plus small polychaetes. They are difficult to keep in captivity unless they are provided with a lot of live rock so that they can find sufficient natural food items. While they will sometimes learn to accept commercial foods in captivity, they really do need a lot of live natural food items to thrive. Most people consider 50-75 lbs of live rock per fish to be minimum. And they should not be kept with other fish that will compete with them for the same food items. The larger the tank, the better chance they will survive.
