Looking For Some Feedback Part Ii
Hello, don't mean to be a pain BUT.
I 've got 72g bowfront it's been up for 9 days w/ live rock & sand. This is my second water test, Temp - 79 SG - 8.4 PH - 8.4 Ammonia - 0 Nitrite - 2 Nitrate - 0 The is showing some signs of life, a couple of small snails, a couple of bristle worms and quite a few what look like white hairs coming out of rocks. Also, some black slightly thicker guys that hang on the rock and sway with flow and lastly there are some very delicate sort of funnel shape things coming out of the sides of what I thought were these dead tubes. Any way after the scare I've been through(self induced) at the start...just wondering how does this sound.  |

I'm unsure what SG means. If that's specific gravity, then that number doesn't make sense.

It is Specific Gravity and the number is 1.026 Hank in SoCal |

I'm surprised to find any indication of nitrite. If you're sure of the test and reading, then there would be a question as to why the bacteria on the rock isn't doing its job. It could be from their 'rude' introduction into your aquarium. With time they should return to duty. When the numbers are all zero consecutively for a few days, then you can follow along the post and move forward in the hobby!
