Eclipse Hood
I have a question for anyone who knows about or has one set up. I have an elcipse hood set up for my freshwater set up. I am looking into switching over to saltwater. And i know that the lights in this system are not powerful enough for a reef system, but i only want a fish-only tank to start. My question is, Is it safe or a decent filtration system for a fish only tank, 20 gal. Please respond.

Re: Eclipse Hood
I don't know the equipment, so don't get upset with me for responding! :slap:
However, you can answer the question for yourself by knowing the answer to these questions. If the answer to each question is "Yes" then the system is good to go: 1. The system has never been used to treat sick fish or animals? 2. The system is saltwater safe/appropriate? 3. The system has a total circulation of over 160 gallons per hour. 4. You only want one or two small fishes with live rock as the bio filter?
