I have heard of many gobies and firefish and wrasse jumping out of tanks but do fish like tangs, puffers, large angels, etc jump out too?

Had a Sleeper Goby jump out last week. Found him on the back of standafter looking for him for awhile. Never heard of or experienced any big fish jumping out however, I guess anything is possible.

Mostly not.
With the aquarium top off and during feeding I've had some large fish 'hit the surface' with considerable force, splashing me with (a lot) of water. In general, those that are not jumpers in youth remain non-jumpers as adults.

I think if you do experience non-jumpers jumping out it is because they are being harrassed.
