The pics aren't very clear but I'm guessing it's a sponge.
Some back ground on my system...
55 gal Glass aquarium
50-60 lbs. LR
CPR Overflow 600 gph
Mag 9.5 return
10 gal sump
The tank has been running for about 4 weeks now. Did a 10 gal waterchange last friday and while i was doing it i did some aquascaping to get some more caves. While moving the rocks i noticed a white squishy something or other on some of the rocks. I have had the rock for about 4 months it was in the same tank for about a month or 2 and then i moved and started all over. take a look at the pictures and see what you think.
Thanks,

Looks like a sponge. It usually dies with the introduction of air though. Not a bad thing though
Sponge, I agree.

yeah sorry about the pictures....the camera stinks. That's something on the christmas list ha ha. Alrighty i'll keep a watch on it then. obvously i took the one out of the tank to get a picture so will see what that does now.
thanks though
You may lose some of the sponge exposing it to air but i've moved LR in and out of tanks and most of the time when it's shipped it isn't shipped in water. You'll be surprised how many sponges you will end up with after that LR being back under water for a few years.
