More than 1 Jaw fish?
Hi
can someone tell me if it will be possible to have 2 yellow head jaw fish in the same tank. There are a lot of places to hide, but I am worried if they both will fight with each other. Is pairing of these fishes possible in an aquarium? if so, what should be considered before buying a second one? The first one is almost 6 cm long and has settled down underneath a rock. Cheers Sashi |

I've not kept them personally, but according to liveaquaria they should be fine together. The LFS in my area also has a half dozen or so in the same tank and they all share the same large burrow. I've never witnessed any aggression in those fish, but I'm not there all the time either. Hope that helps a little. |

Re: More than 1 Jaw fish?
If you want a pair, it would be best to obtain an already mated pair.
When two are in a display tank, they each will stake out their own area. Unfortunately, when they 'meet in the middle' they will sometimes get into a tussle. It all depends on the individual personalities of the fish. Much of their ability to get along has to do with how they were introduced and whether or not they each have enough resources (food, space, etc.).
