Every fish keeps dying!
i got live rock that has been cycled in my tank for 2 months now, ran tests, no ammonia, no nitrite. ph=8.3, sg=1.025. all fish die with 72 hrs. never had a fish die on me ever before this tank. what could be possible reasons? no silcone work, only primer and cement for plumbing but that was done a long time ago.

Re: Every fish keeps dying!
2 were mollies and 2 were damsels
they were acclimated drip method to equalize ph and sg. put in QT for several weeks. then acclimated and introduced to display. |

Re: Every fish keeps dying!
Sorry to hear of the problem.
Take a lot of time and compare what you did with the guidelines here and note the differences: Setting Up a FOWLR Aquarium There is more to water quality than just the tests you've performed. This may give you some clues on what to look for with regards to what may be wrong: What is Water Quality. There's a lot of reading to do. Take it slowly. You will be the best detective to figure it out, but how good you are at listing the possible problems will depend upon how good you are at understanding the things that can go wrong and how good you are at detecting possible problems with your setup. The greatest tool you will have for detecting the problem(s) is information and knowledge which is provided in the above links. Good luck!

Re: Every fish keeps dying!
Where did you get your water? If it's not RO or treated to remove the chorines and stuff. . . I bet that's the problem. Your water must be poisonous to kill damsels that quickly. Sorry bout that. Sucks. What about the primer and the cement. . . toxic?
