This might be a stupid question....

Hi folks, I have about 80lbs of Fiji LR in my tank and wanted to add more rocks for cosmetic reasons. If I buy chaper rocks (not LR) and throw them in my tank, am I correct to assume they will eventually become LR? Will they have the same benefits as actually buying LR, if so how long?

Thanks for posting.

The difference will be small, but there is a difference. Just so you are aware. . .You first need to know everything true live rock does, and what the additional rock will and won't do. That's all here: What is Live Rock, Anyway?

So in about 8 years or so, the effectiveness of LR start to diminish??? That is good to know....Note to self "Start saving up for next 80lbs of LR." LOL
