chiseltooth wrasse problem...

A week ago, I moved a domino damsel from my reef tank to my FOWRL tank. Now, I know how aggressive and mean those damsels get but I figured the two of them should keep to themselves. Problem is, since the move, the chiseltooth wrasse has buried itself in the substrate and has not surfaced for anything! Its taken sick days or two in the past but that's it. It's been almost a week and still no sign of him. This is soooo weird.

It's not like the wrasse to take so many days off.

Anyone ever have this problem?

Re: chiseltooth wrasse problem...

I personally have not had this scenario. I would assume that the wrasse doesn't like the new fish on the block. Unless you sit down and observe the tank for hours, you might miss some subtle aggression.

Perhaps others here have had such an experience and will reply.

Re: chiseltooth wrasse problem...

leeb,

It came out for the first time in almost 2 weeks last night! You couldn't imagine my surprise. Of course, my sohal was unfamiliar with his presence despite having been in there all along chased him around a bit. But, the important thing is that it came out and it lives!

And...I thought only people take vacations.
