Happy Holidays everyone! Recently, I observed a strange behavior with all of the fishes in my tank. When I walk up to the tank all of the fishes crowd towards the top of the tank waiting for food. This, I know is not unusual. What I find funny/strange is when I walk up to the tank without a shirt on, they ALL hide!!!! Even feeding time, they hide when I don't have a shirt on.
They are used to water changes as well, with a shirt on, I can do water changes and they do not hide, not bothered at all, but when I approach the tank without a shirt, they ALL hide!!!:slap: They all remain in hiding until I walk away. I've been known to frighten women and children at the beach when I go topless, but scaring off my fishes too? WTF!!!! Perhaps they are telling me something????? I plan on video taping it and posting it on youtube. |

Re: Really Weird Observation
Besides shapes, fish can sense vibrations. W/o shirt the vibrations change, not to mention the shade/color of the 'thing' approaching. Fishes can be quite observant of the person caring for them and distinguish that person from a 'stranger.'

As long as they aren't laughing, you're OK.

Re: Really Weird Observation
Lets see, my fish hide when I try taking pictures of them, I have to try going topless next time... maybe they'll jump out of the tank? ![]()
