Hello all. I have a 20gal tank that currently has 2 false perc's in it.
I also want to add a longnose hawkfish and a royal gramma.
do i have enough room for them to co-exist peacefully, and will my small tank handle the bio-load of this many fish?
I'm sure you were hoping for good new and might understand if it wasn't, but I am going to tell you the worst news.
That 20 gallon is not suitable for the two Anemonefishes you have there now. Adding more fish should not be considered and finding a new home for those Anemonefish when they get over 1" long should be your goal.
I don't really have the space (or money) to buy a larger aquarium. If i stick with the 2 clowns, and keep a close eye on water quality, do they have a chance? I have a 29 gal freshwater tank running right now. Is it possible to switch them for more space?

If your intention is to have a mated pair or just two, they should have a minimum of 6 cubic feet. This is about 30 gallons. The 29 would be the absolute smallest for them. You would still need to do as you indicated: top water quality, more maintenance, good circulation, etc.
