FOWLR fish consideration for 70ish gallon tank
Tank will be a bowfront or pentagon for space reasons.
I have kept trigger tanks in the past and would like to keep a somewhat peaceful tank this time around. I am Interested in keeping the following: (1) Spot Foxface or Foxface Lo (1) Racoon Butterflyfish or Golden Semilarvatus Butterflyfish (1) Of the smaller puffers I looked some more, and maybe replace the small puffer w/ a longhorn cowfish or yellow boxfish (May work since the other two are pretty peaceful fishies. I have had puffers in the past and they haven't been the best of swimmers with strong currents. Does these seem like a decent sized load for this tank or maybe too much? I am also concerned about the puffers eating my stinkin snails... that happened in my last tank! Does anyone have any advise or direction towards different similar types of fish? I like the yellows of the foxface and the racoon, combined with other colors they look neat. I also like the foxface's spiky dorsal fins! I like the puffers because they look like floating balloons =). I'll have a sump under the tank with an MR-1 skimmer and some more LR and the tank will have a 4-5" deep sea bed with a fairly good sized cleanup crew (worried the puffer will eat them!).

Re: FOWLR fish consideration for 70ish gallon tank
With the DSB and LR the swimming space will be significantly reduced. This makes this tank unsuitable for Tangs and Rabbitfish, IMHO. The Rabbitfish should, if fed properly, grow about 1.5 inches per year and needs a swimming length of no less than 6 feet, starting off with the standard 125.
After the above consideration, the choices are large and totally up to you. Can't predict what you will or will not enjoy. Puffers do like crustaceans and snails, unless you get one that has a different disposition. Although there are a few Puffers that remain fairly small, this tank is marginal for their proper keeping. I would prefer a 90 without a DSB in the main display for the small Puffers.
