How to tell healthy fish?

What is the best way to tell if your fish are healthy. I just got two little clowns and they swim together and are very active. What is the best way to tell if they are healthy. The water quality is great and they are the only ones in the tank. thanks!

with no other fish around to bother them, they will most likely end up happy.

What I do is make sure I buy a healthy fish from the LFS, that readilly eats there. When you get it home, give it a couple of days then notice its behavior. When it deviates from that behavior put it on watch. My chalk basslet for example hid in caves all day, if I were to see it swimming in the open I would be alarmed.
