Re: bamboo shark eggs
I was wondering the same thing. My lfs had one for a few weeks then it was gone, I would stop by to check it out every few days.

Re: bamboo shark eggs
I'm unable to help with the answers to those questions. Sorry. I have known a few people who are into this, but they are not on the Internet.
You may wish to try and Google for information, if no one else posts a reply here.

The tank should have a substrate of smooth, fine particle aragonite sand. There should be ample space for swimming around the entire perimeter of the tank. That means that you would want to keep an open sand bed space of at least 12-16" on all four sides of the tank between the live rock and the tank walls. Curved tank ends would be ideal. These are bottom dwelling fish. So make sure you have lots of nice open sand bed (smooth sand only). The live rock would be placed as an island (or two separate islands) in the center of the tank with open space between the live rock on all sides. I have seen some authors suggest a minimum tank size of 300 gallons (96"L x 30"W x 24"H) for these sharks but obviously a larger tank would be better. You would want the front-to-back dimension to be greater than the height of the tank.
