    Ideas for stocking 33g

I need some interesting ideas for stocking this tank. It's a 33g fowlr with a 20g sump. 2 - 3" of sand. Currently for fish I just have one lawnmower blenny. For snails I have 10 nassarius snails and 6 astrea snails. The algae is very well controlled at this point. What else could I add that would be suitable and also interesting, and not difficult to feed (preferably something that would take flake or pellets if need be)? I also have 78 watts of T5 lighting. I was wondering about maybe some feather dusters or some types of inverts that aren't too difficult. I've been keeping fw fish most of my life, so I'm particularly interested in things that would be strange and different to me, not just your run of the mill regular fish.

I'm sure you'll enjoy the nassarius. They are fun to watch interacting with each other.

How about a pair of skunk shrimp and a diamond goby. They are fairly active. Sally Lightfoot crabs are another option but mostly they just eat algae constantly. Still nice to have since they are different.

The shrimp sound interesting. Maybe I'll go with them and another clown (assuming my current one dies). The goby looks neat too, but my blenny is already a sort of bottom dwelling scavenger so I need something more midwater.

The shrimp will chase food down quickly and steal it from others so I usually feed them first. They can give you an idea of how much food is in your tank since you can see the food through their skin which is helpful. It's fun watching them run upside down just under the surface of the water.

Goby's are teraformers. They'll dig a LOT. Mine likes building huge mounds of sand and then sitting on top of it with a big smile gloating at me. It is very observant. Make sure all your reef rocks are at the bottom of your tank (mine aren't yet) and he can undermine your reef building his mansion. lol Definately the funnest thing in my tank at the moment even though he's somewhat destructive as he covers things in sand. The goby will do a great job keeping your sand from hardening.

Sally mostly scavenges algae on rocks so that's kinda midwater... Not sure what else would be good.

You could try a purple lobster but that's more for the bottom I'd presume. Haven't owned one yet.

How about a fire clam up on your rocks?

Maybe I'll go for a shrimp and a shrimp goby. That would be interesting.

Next problem is finding what you want online. ;-)
