QUARANTINE:2 Spotted Goby

Hi Lee,
Are there any special considerations for the QT setup for a 2 Spotted Goby. This fish is for sand stirring in the 180 FOWLR we discussed in an earlier thread.

If you know this fish buries into the sand, it is good to put SILICA sand in the QT. This can be done by putting it into the bottom of the QT or putting a deep bowl of it in, which will 'fit' the size of the fish.

The silica sand must be pure (not contain any carbonates). You can test any sand by adding 1/2 cup diluted 50:50 vinegar to a couple of tablespoons of the sand. If it fizzes, it contains carbonates at least.
