    Bioload and compatibility????

Hello again Reefland, I was doing alot of research and thinking of how Id like to stock my 90 gallon. Here is what Id like to keep, I was just wanting some input from some pros please and thank you!!!

1.I currently have a 5" Black Volitan Lionfish(theres no way I will get rid of him He comes first I love this guy to death!!!!!!!)
so here are the others Id want
2.one Radiata Lionfish(would the two different Lions fight, and what size should I get??)
3.one Lawn-Mower Blenny (would he become lunch even if he's a nice size??)
4.one Yellow-Belly Regal Blue Tang(an absolute beautiful fish, and Id prefer him over alot of the others.)
    5.one Zebra Moray Eel
6.two Red-Knob Sea Stars (would they become lunch to the Eel or Lionfishes???)
7.one nice size Horseshoe Crab (would anyone try to eat him, or would he pose a threat to anyone???)
And finally how much longer would my mated pair of Maroon Clowns be safe in here,They currently share the tank with my Beautiful Black Lion...and I want to start adding these others soon...
What order should I add these ones that qualify???? Thanks again and have a great day!!!!

    Re: Bioload and compatibility????

    The list looks pretty good.

The lions will be fine together, we house them together regularly.

The lawnmower will most likely become food for the lion(s). It could be fine and go ignored, but there's no sure bet that will happen.

The stars and horseshoe will be fine, but I would suggest picking the stars over the horseshoe crab. The horse will get large, and they have a tendency for knocking things over. The lions and eel will avoid both the stars and crab.

As faras the order, add the smaller more timid fish first. (lawnmower, tang, horseshoe, stars) Let them get situated first and then add the lion and moray

    Some general comments:

    1. and 2. okay
    3. and 4. All fish that would fit about two or three times the mouth size of the Lionfish are potential food. Those that don't 'fit' may become harmed in the attempt to eat them.
    5. Don't keep eels. They need more space that you're providing and they may decide those other fishes are food some day.
    6. Starfishes are not my expertise, but I would caution that most require special and a lot of space, unless they are carnivores.
    7. PLEASE don't even think of keeping the Horseshoe crab. I want you to read the following. It is a very long thread, however start reading at post #15: Ich: Losing the battle... The subject is covered in a few posts starting at #15 and concluding with post #18.

Maroon Anemonefishes fall into the 3. and 4. group.

I'd have to say a zebra moray is not going to outgrow a 90g system...ever And its not going ot make lunch of anyone on that list, except maybe for the blenny. They are escape artists though, and a tight solid lid/top is a must
