    125g predator tank stocking suggestions

Hey I'm currently cycling my 125g FOWLR tank and looking for any thoughts/ ideas on what to stock. I have an 150g octopus skimmer, an Eheim filter and a 29g sump. My rock structure is made from marcorocks which are very nice and porous.
Here is my current stock that I am thinking about starting with what I want the most and changing to just ideas.

    Snowflake eel
    Niger Triggerfish
    Porcupine Puffer

    Ideas- Not all just some
    Red corris wrasse
    Harlequin Tusk
    Koran or Emperor Angel
Powder blue tang- or some other tang
    Foxface Rabbitfish
    maybe dogface puffer
    very unlikely- lionfish

Are any of these an absolute no?
    Any suggestions?
    What do you think?

    Thanks alot

Re: 125g predator tank stocking suggestions

    WELCOME TO REEFLAND!

The choice of marine life forms is a very personal choice, in my opinion. So, I don't give advice of what to choose. However, I do see from your list that there are fishes that do not belong in a 125g tank:

Any large Angelfish past its juvenile pattern should be in an aquarium of no less than 180, then at about 4" in length, into a 300g, then at 6" into a 500g aquarium. They not only need the 6 foot length, but a lot of water volume to move around in.

Based on your list, where's the 'predatory fishes?' This is more of a community tank, many of which are carnivores, but you have mixed in omnivores and herbivores. That's okay, if that's what you like.

The Puffer, you know, does grow to over 14" in captivity. It will outgrow that tank when it gets to over 10" and that is assuming there are no other fish in there with it.

So. . .Juv Angelfish, small to med Tang, small to med Puffer, all good to start.
