Thumbs up starting a new 60 gallon FOWLR tank..

Im just beginning a new 60 gallon fowlr tank and i am wondering what do i really need to make sure my fish survive. I have the tank, lighting, filter, heater, thermometer, and so on. I just need sand and live rock.

What else, if anything do you guys think i might need to keep my fish and is h\there any tips that could be given.

I already have a 30 gallon cichlid tank so i know my way around a fish tank i just have never touhed a saltwater tank so its all different

    Welcome to Reeflands!

Glad to you see you taking all the precautions before you start your tank.

Theres a lot of knowledge to be found on these forums, check out this linked sticky's:

Do you know what type of lights, return pump size, and do you have a protein skimmer?

Also, how big is your sump and will you be running a Fugium? What types of things are you looking to keep? Any corals of such?

A protein skimmer, I'd get that before I buy fish, if you can't afford one right now, start saving, you want your fish to thrive not just survive right????, Then you are gonna need a skimmer, look at the AquaC Remora Pro, one of the best....
