    Blue Chromis - Chromis cyanea

    I am wondering if anyone has any real experience with this fish. My LFS (reef specialty shop) tells me they are hard to keep. I've consulted a number of books and am getting mixed messages. Has anyone had any long term success with this species (or failure)? I appreciate the info, don't want to support a species that isn't cut out for aquarium life. Thanks!

    The Blue Chromis was my first fish when i started my first saltwater tank. It is not only easy to keep, but its very hardy and can adapt well if water parameters are not ideal(or fluctuating). My chromis lasted me a year. I would have kept it longer but I moved and got a bigger tank and gave it to a buddy of mine who still has it to this day. So to answer your question, YES, LONG term success.
