Live Rock and Copper
I have 2 small live rock in my tank. No special lighting to support anything except for the bacteria growing on it. I want to use copper because my blue tang has dust like spots on it. Or can I just remove the 2 live rock and put them in a bucket of water, but of course, the copper with never totally get out of the tank.

If you have no other choice but to use copper then I would recommend that you take the fish out and treat it in a seperate tank. The copper , as you know , will leave a residue that will always be there and who knows what you may decide you want to put in the tank 6 months from now.The first step though is to accurately diagnose what the problem is.

i know of people that have done fresh water dip to kill of parasites on fish instead of copper. i think copper should be an absolute last resort and then only in a quarantine tank...hth
