If the maroon was going to tear into the other clown, you'd probably know it by now.
If she's letting the tomato hang in the same general area or within sight without a chase, your likely good to go.
So, im new here, but i've been in the fish game for about 7 years now....
weird thing happened.
So i have this Tomato Clown, fairly tiny, in my 80 gallon tank.
I had him for about a 3 days, i was not able to find him anywhere..... i havent seen him for about 4 days, so a friend of mine wanted to get rid of his Maroon Clown (which is about almost 3 times the size of my Tomato) so i put the Maroon in.
a day later, my Tomato shows up, im afraid that they will fight, but its been about 3 weeks now and they get along perfectly fine.
Will there be a chance for them to kill each other out of nowhere?
i guess that is all.

I agree that you should be okay. The larger question is whether the maroon clown (Premnas biaculeatus) will pair with the tomato clown (Amphiprion frenatus). I suspect it might, provided you do not introduce either another maroon or another tomato to the tank.
Strange as it may sound, maroon clowns have been verified to breed with both A. ocellaris and A. percula in captivity. I don't remember if the offspring were able to propagate or not. A. ocellaris and A. percula have been known to breed in captivity and the offspring are fertile. Of course, with the Premnas hybrids you're not only crossing two different species, you're crossing two different genera.
Another thing I suspect is that for a Premnas intergeneric pairing to develop, the female will almost certainly be the Premnas. Even if your maroon and tomato do not form a mated pair, I doubt that the tomato will be able to mature sexually into a female in the presence of maroon female in a little 80-gallon tank. Keep an eye on them and update this thread with your observations. This could be very interesting.

hey guys, thanks for the replys....
as of now, they still hang around together, not a scratch on either one.
If they breed, that would be pretty awesome. As of now, they do swim together occasionally, but not all the time. They really seem to get along. I will keep this thread updated if anything new happens.
COOL!
