To be honest, I don't reply to such requests. Perhaps others might. The choice of marine life is very personal. I don't personally classify them as tough or bad, but as beautiful and with personality. I try to keep fishes that are more pet-like than enemies with me and/or other fishes.

Lee's response to your post is spot-on if your intent is to keep the "pit bull" with other fishes that will get killed.
If you just want an amazing, tough fish to be kept on its own in a large tank (say, 180 gallons or more), then my choice would be an Undulated Trigger (Balistapus undulatus). This is a very entertaining and beautiful fish that can reach a foot long. Just be VERY careful when putting your hands in the tank.![]()
cool, thanks for info...WOW I did some research on this fish , and you were not kidding. Any fish that will rip apart your Tunze power head and try to eat the power cord to it is bad a$$. Not to mention try and take your tank apart at the seems....That might be a little to much fish for even me.
