Beginner needs advice on hermit crab

Hello all I am pretty new to the marine aquarium hobby i am doing fairly well considering I am on a strict budget. the question i got is regarding my scarlet reef hermit he is kinda of a pale orange instead of the usual bright red. I will attach some pictures to get input from someone more experienced. I have checked my water and salidity is good, tested everything and everything is good in that aspect. The Hermit has been like that for about 2 months. please let me know any information thank you

You've got some really nice coralline algae growth in there! My hermits are about the same color. I'm no expert on them but he looks fine.

Is he active and eating? He might be getting ready to look for a new home...

Hi Jose Lopez ; Read up on Iodine supplementation in the appropiate sticky's. That will help the crabs and shrimp molt around once per month. Welcome to Reefland!!!!!!!

Re: Beginner needs advice on hermit crab

I feed my hermits a small piece of shrimp once a week just so they leave my polyps alone they really seem to like it. I have heard of hermits trying to catch your smaller fishes as well so that's something to keep in mind.

P.S. I'm a newbie as well but i have done lots of reading, and thats always a good idea to see what other people have to say its helped me lots already.
