I recently introduced a pair of two toned chromis into my tank. Yesterday we noticed that one of the fish was acting more aggressively toward the other. Very rapid swimming/chasing around the tank, etc. This morning, I woke up and had to call my husband to see if he had to "scoop" a fish but he ahdn't. I searched the tank for my other chromis. Watching the other one, I noticed him hanging around some live rock a bit and chasing off my blue/green chromis from the area. Then I saw the second one stick it's head out from the bottom of the rock where she seems to have made a little hollow. She has not come out at all, all day. I'm assuming that these two have eggs now or are at least about to spawn. Does anyone know the gestational time of two toned chromis? If they are breeding what should I do to protect the youngsters? And how do I take care of the Momma? Thanks so much in advance for any input.
Annie
