In my opinion, thats to many larger size fish for a 20g tank. Maybe the Potter and a Clown would be about it. And we are pushing the Potters Angel here, being that it should be a 30 gallon tank, but I think that the only difference in 20-30 is the width.

    Sorry, no there's not.

You should check out LiveAquaria.com for marine fish descriptions and minimum tank size recommendations. There are no rules on tank size that everyone agrees to, but their recommendations will get you in the ballpark. I would actually recommend about 20% bigger than what they say...for most fish.

A 20g is considered very small for marine fish-keeping. I wouldn't do more than 2 of the very smallest fish available.

    Good luck!

If you're not part of the solution, you're part of the precipitate.

The early bird gets the worm, but the second mouse gets the cheese.

Personally, I would do 40 or bigger for all dwarf angels, including the flameback, coral beauty, Bi-color, and flame angel.

Full size angels need tanks starting at 180, and some need 300 or more.

    Re: Potters angel

Ok, they're really hard to catch.

I have one in my reef tank, and it is not well behaved. It's agressive towards my spotted cardinal, and it nips at my corals snails and crabs. I've been trying to get rid of it unsuccessfully for a long time.
It's a beautiful fish, but it would do better in a fish only tank, meaning no corals, snails and crabs. Also, it doesn't play well with some peaceful fish. Why it picks on the cardinal, I don't know. Maybe it's because they have a similar size and shape? It doesn't really bother my two Occlaris clowns or Mandarin Dragonette...at least, they don't act threatened by it like the Cardinal does.

Other than that, I can tell you that it seems to enjoy having a lot of rockwork and caves to hide amongst. It is shy and doesn't come out when I'm standing in front of the aquarium, and it will eat a wide variety of foods, but I feed it mostly frozen. There's an angel/butterfly blend that it really likes.

Whenever I see small tanks, my first thought is always goby/ pistol shrimp pairs.

2 Clowns and everything else mentioned but the 4" fish. No room once you've added Rock.
