ok so i was reading a book on saltwater fish...it said you could occasionally feed earthworms to your fish is if you wash them good and cut them up....is this true? whats your opinion? are they safe to feed to fish if washed?

In addition to what Reefing Madness has written, keep in mind what they eat -- they eat decaying matter of the earth. Imagine what is inside their intestinal tracks. You don't want that in your fish. Ornamental marine fishes don't eat land decaying matter.
The land earthworm does not have the proper nutrients that our marine fish need to live.
